Your role would be to manage and coordinate company's IT Operations function and it’s sub-functions, such as but not limited to infrastructure development, software development, end user support, data management and cyber security, to meet company’s business needs. You would be responsible for managing employees and resources in the pursuit of achieving specific functional or organizational goals. Other cornerstones of this position - to maintain and develop relationships with customers both internal and external, be accountable for the operational effectiveness within company.

Projects & Delivery

  • Initiate, define and implement annual IT Operations plan for Centric IT Solutions Lithuania. Ensure the plan is aligned with the business objectives as well as local and global Centric vision.
  • Supervise the activities of the IT Operations as per the annual IT Operations plan and business objectives. Where necessary, take corrective action in order to achieve the specified targets (KPI).
  • Deliver the annual IT Operations plan and objectives agreed with Country Manager within approved budget. In accordance with the objectives and plans, take full responsibility for ensuring the quality of services provided, take corrective actions and when necessary.
  • Identify and manage the development and implementation of initiatives improving cost effectiveness, service quality and business development opportunities, initiate KPI for operations.
  • Represent the IT Operations to other divisions and departments, key internal people and external parties. Proactively cooperate with Centric global to optimize the use of technology in support of business strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with relevant Centric local and global divisions and departments to assure that information technologies for current and future business operations and decision-making requirements are provided, improved and replaced as required.
  • Participate in the following budget processes.
    • Review, propose and justify the proposal for the IT Operations annual budget.
    • Manage, track and ensure the right balance in the budget for IT Operations field from finance perspective.
  • Promote, manage and develop projects for internal and external customers. Take full responsibility for the results of the projects in IT Operations field.
  • Ensure project management methodologies and IT best practices are developed and followed, and the maximum value is obtained from information technology solutions. Review and evaluate work methods and procedures; meet with key staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Align and implement relevant work capacity and working conditions among IT Operations employees and it’s customers.
  • Proactively identify, create, develop and maintain commercial relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure alignment of local and global Centric policies and strategies in IT Operations field.

People Management:

  • Execute Line Manager responsibilities for direct reports (both regular staff and Line Managers in IT Operations).
  • In both a quantitative and qualitative sense, be responsible for the optimal structuring, development and adequate staffing of the IT Operations, so that current and future IT Operations plan and business objectives can be achieved.
  • Provide IT Operations employees with inspiring, stimulating and supportive leadership and management, by establishing clear frameworks were employees are given enough freedom and trust to take personal responsibility and control of personal development.
  • Seek to establish appropriate conditions balancing desired results for both Centric and IT Operations employees.
  • Inspire and lead IT Operations to their optimum performance levels while ensuring high engagement and motivation.
  • Communicate and oversee goals setting up process for IT Operations.
  • Encourage, provide and get periodic feedback to/from relevant employees of Centric IT Solutions Lithuania.
  • Facilitate personal and career development for direct reports (both regular staff and Line Managers in IT Operations).
  • Solve any people issues and address skills deficit in IT Operations.

Internal Administration Processes:

  • Take full responsibility for logistics in IT Operations (standard equipment, space, etc.)
  • Execute relevant tasks related with employees time management, costs and project tracking as well as other actions initiated by Finance department and/or Country Manager.
  • Initiate and get necessary approvals for hiring of new employees, disciplining and terminating current staff.
  • Ensure all relevant HR processes are followed and carried out.

Head of IT Operations is authorized to:

  • Operate within the approved budget limits for designated purposes.
  • Make the agreements with internal clients / suppliers within the approved project scope.
  • Initiate promotions and pay reviews and implement those after Country Manager’s approval.
  • Make the final decision on recruitment and selection process for IT Operations.
  • Act as the company advocate (within IT Operations, Centric local and global, externally).
  • Any agreements exceeds the approved budget or formulated HR and Finance policies can only be executed with the Country Manager approval.


General management skills and requirements:

Specific IT skills and requirements:

  • 5 years of professional experience, of which 2 years in a managerial in IT or a similar environment/industry.
  • Experience in leading and managing IT projects, processes and technologies, especially IT Operations and Cloud infrastructure related.
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Relevant university degree education.
