What you do

Network Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a network and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. 


Network Engineers will work in-house/remote or be assigned to project management teams. As part of the Core Network team, Network Engineers work closely with Network Architects and IT Managers. 

What you bring to the team

  • Experience on troubleshoot complex networking issues. 
  • Experience with Fortinet products. 
  • Hands-on experience with HP and Cisco switches and routers. 
  • Excellent understanding on core networking concepts such as BGP, VLAN, VxLAN, trunking, LACP. 
  • Skill on using network analysers/port scanners and understand the output. 
  • CCNA certification. 
  • University or college degree in Computer Science, Networking or Telecommunications or equivalent working experience. 
  • Full business proficiency in English. 
  • Bonus points: 

    • CCNP Certification.
    • NetScaler knowledge.
    • MPLS knowledge and be able to troubleshoot the MPLS network.
    • Fortinet NSE4 and preferrable NSE7.

  • Contributing to designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. 
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, firewall’s, security appliances. 
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation. 
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security. 
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. 
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades. 
  • Investigating faults in the network. 
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases. 
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders.

The salary for this position starts from €2800 to €3700 gross per month, depending on the knowledge and experience.
