Business Analyst

The North American and European Portals are over 10 years old and do not provide centralized access to information for external users, such as dealers, fleets and suppliers. The Global Portal Project aims to improve this situation by implementing a new authentication and authorization tool for the applications accessed by all external users. DAF applications range from purchasing pricing systems, to dealer Repair & Maintenance Info and dealer Pricing Tools.

The result will be state of the art Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign On (SSO) for all applications. This will highly improve the user experience of all DAFs business partners (dealers, suppliers, etc).

The project is split up in 4 releases:

  1. Release 1 enabled the login of all users to the new Global Portal (Go Live was in April 2023)
  2. Release 2 enabled a back-end integration for all company information to the Global Portal System (Go Live was in July 2023)
  3. Release 3 will enable all 3.000 Admin users to use the new UI to create/update/disable end users, and un/assign DAFs applications to these users. (Go Live will be in Q4 2024)
  4. Release 4 will enable all 35.000 end users to use the new Global Portal UI, which will then serve as the front end for all users if they want to use an application they are authorized for. (Go Live will be in Q3 2024).

Within Release 3 of this project we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst that will be helping us to define the requirements (refine the user stories), steer developers to build the functionality and verify it matches the requirements by testing.

Main activities are:

  • Process fit on the screens that will be built in the new portal
  • Define requirements in user stories
  • Review of development work while testing
  • Preparation of training material for internal and external users

The candidate will be part of the Release 3 Project team consisting of approx.. 15 motivated IT experts, Business Analysts and Testers. This is a global project with Seattle meaning working times can be shifted (for example 10:00-18:00).
Working on site

  • Laptop to be provided by DAF
  • Working in shifted hours 10-18:00 CET.


What you bring to the team

  • Preferably WO, at minimum HBO education Up to 5 years of experience in business analysis or change management
  • Understanding of IAM tooling is a pre
  • Understanding of application authorization concepts by roles/companies/persons is a pre

What we offer

Period of deployment     : 1-8 till 31-12-2024 
Weekly deployment        : 37,5 hours a week   
Work location                  : Eindhoven
Remote working              : It is possible to work from home for max. 2 days a week.
Maximum rate                 : € 80,00 - € 90,00 competitive
Working distance             : living within a radius of 60 minutes from Eindhoven
