DevOps and Cloud Engineer

What you do

Centric is looking for a DevOps and Cloud Engineer – you will work and report functionally to the operational department seated in The Netherlands and help Centric to operate cloud platforms that are internally used to deliver applications to customers. You will be responsible for the availability, continuity, and reliability of the cloud and virtualization platforms used.
 
You would work in a dynamic organization transforming at a high pace, closely with the Engineering and Development Teams located worldwide.
 
A summary of your responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain cloud platforms.
• Support multiple Kubernetes clusters that run on VMware as well as on Azure AKS.
• Work closely with development teams and automate application deployment processes by using Azure DevOps.
• Documenting, creating, and maintaining operational processes.
• Responsible for incident and problem management.
• Responsible for backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
• Address technical concerns.
• Address ideas and suggestions for improving solutions and platforms.
• Understand company/customer needs to define system specifications.
• Work closely with Engineering and Development teams and participate in their standups.
   

What you bring to the team

• Experience with Kubernetes, Kubernetes Cluster API.
• Experience in automation of infrastructure and configuration using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Azure DevOps.
• Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure (CentOS, RHEL, and Ubuntu).
• Working experience on virtualization platforms preferably VMware VCenter.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (AD, Windows Server OS, Powershell).
• Hands-on experience with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS).
• Good communication skills and abilities to work with remote development teams including abilities to coordinate project flow.
• Experienced with describing operational processes and implementing them.
• Familiar with monitoring tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, System Center Operations Manager, Application Insights, and others.
• Familiar with the DevOps way of working.
• ITIL Processes and Procedures knowledge is an advantage.

The salary for this position starts from €3500 to €4700 gross per month, depending on the knowledge and experience.
