DevOps and Cloud Engineer

What you do

As a DevOps and Cloud Engineer at Centric, you will help transform cloud operations and deliver high-performance applications to internal and external customers worldwide.

You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, continuity, and reliability of the cloud and virtualization platforms used, including Infrastructure provisioning and integration with (CI/CD) platforms, using existing and emerging technologies. 

You'd be part of a dynamic organization transforming at a high pace, working closely with international Engineering and Development teams.

A summary of your responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain cloud platforms.
• Work closely with development teams and automate application deployment processes by using Azure DevOps.
• Document, create, and maintain operational processes.
• Incident and problem management.
• Backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
• Address technical concerns.
• Address ideas and suggestions for improving solutions and platforms.
• Understand company/customer needs to define system specifications.
• Work closely with Engineering and Development teams.
• Champion usage of DevOps practices in the organization and beyond.

What you bring to the team

• Hands-on experience with Cloud providers (we prefer Azure, but AWS or Oracle would be an additional benefit).
• Experience in automation of infrastructure and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps.
• Working experience on virtualization platforms preferably VMware Vcenter.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (AD, Windows Server OS, Powershell).
• Good communication skills and abilities to work with remote development teams including abilities to coordinate project flow.
• Familiarity with monitoring tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, System Center Operations Manager, Application Insights, and others.
• Familiarity with the DevOps way of working.

Nice to Have: 

• Familiarity with Cloud Adaptation Framework (CAF) & Well-Architected Framework (WAF).

The salary for this position starts from €2700 to €4700 gross per month, depending on the knowledge and experience.
