Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer

What you do

Centric is looking for a Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer – if you join our company, you will report functionally to the operational department seated in The Netherlands and help Centric to operate cloud platforms that are internally used to deliver applications to customers.

You will be responsible for the availability, continuity, and reliability of the cloud and virtualization platforms used including Infrastructure provisioning and integration with (CI/CD) platforms, using existing and emerging technologies.

You would work in a dynamic organization transforming at a high pace, closely with the Engineering and Development Teams located worldwide.

A summary of your responsibilities:

• Work on a challenging project whose goal is to plan and migrate on-prem workloads to the cloud infrastructure and automate those by following continuous integration and deployment standards.
• Direct collaboration with the development teams and the infrastructure teams to define and refine the continuous delivery pipeline process & procedures.
• Active contributor to the Project Architecture / Project Design phase regarding product deployment and infrastructure needs by using best CAF and WAF practices.
• Implementation and management of Cloud solutions – the full lifecycle of build, release, deployment, and configuration activities.
• Move environments towards Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures while developing solutions for automation and scalability.

What you bring to the team

• Solid hands-on experience with Cloud providers (Azure or AWS).
• Hands-on experience in on-premises application migration to cloud environments and operating in hybrid environments
• Knowledge of distributed systems, redundancy, high availability, and performance optimizations
• Experience with provisioning tools, preferably Terraform & Bicep
• Experience with the DevOps way of working and CI\CD tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
• Strong scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (AD, Windows Server OS, IIS)
• Good understanding of application containerization platforms such as Docker, AKS, ACA, ECS, or AWS Fargate.
• Abilities to administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and applications
• Experience with system and application monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, Application Insights, and others
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders

Nice to Have:

• Experience in TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs
• Familiarity with Cloud Adaptation Framework (CAF) & Well-Architected Framework (WAF)
• Familiar with the ITIL framework and all related procedures such as incident management, change management, RCA
• Familiar with AGILE methodologies
• Any formal Cloud-based training and any cloud-related industry-accredited certification

The salary for this position starts from €4500 to €6000 gross per month, depending on the knowledge and experience.
