What you do

As a DevOps and Cloud Engineer at Centric, you will help transform cloud operations and deliver high-performance applications to internal and external customers worldwide. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, continuity, and reliability of the cloud and virtualization platforms used, including Infrastructure provisioning and integration with (CI/CD) platforms, using existing and emerging technologies. You'd be part of a dynamic organization transforming at a high pace, working closely with international Engineering and Development teams.

A summary of your responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing an automation platform for all aspects of the application infrastructure and deployment lifecycle.
  • Performing operations tasks such as monitoring platform performance over time or troubleshooting issues with platform production services.
  • Participating in meetings with DevOps engineers and developers to discuss technical issues and propose solutions.
  • Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to design new features or improve existing ones.
  • Operate and maintain cloud platforms.
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery.
  • Work closely with development teams and automate application deployment processes.
  • Optimize monitoring and logging solutions to ensure visibility, reliability, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Document, create, and maintain operational processes.
  • Incident and problem management.
  • Backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
  • Address technical concerns.
  • Address ideas and suggestions for improving solutions and platforms.
  • Understand company/customer needs to define system specifications.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Development teams.
  • Champion usage of DevOps practices in the organization and beyond.

What you bring to the team

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience in automation of infrastructure and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (AD, Windows Server OS, Powershell).
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining scripts (we prefer Python & PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, System Center Operations Manager, Application Insights, and others.
  • Familiarity with the DevOps way of working.
  • Good communication skills and abilities to work with remote development teams including abilities to coordinate project flow.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT engineering, DevOps or similar roles.
  • Proactive and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum practices.
  • Proficiency in English.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and networking concepts.
  • Solid understanding of Security Compliance standards and best practice.

The salary for this position is €3100 to €4500 gross per month. We are open to discuss the salary depending on your knowledge and experience.
