Junior DevOps and Cloud Engineer

What you do

At Centric, our Platform Engineering team is in the lead of transforming how the organization delivers and operates applications. We are building a fully automated infrastructure management platform with self-service. It automates the entire lifecycle of application hosting, including: provisioning, access management, backups, monitoring, maintenance & operations.

Our Internal Cloud Management Platform empowers DevOps teams to re-platform and refactor applications with ease, accelerating their journey to the cloud. From the outset, we have focused on public cloud providers, leveraging their capabilities to build a mature, scalable, and secure platform. We are now expanding functionality and developing a private cloud offering. To support this initiative, we are seeking a junior engineer with a strong motivation to learn, a desire to grow professionally, and the ambition to develop new skills while contributing to the extension of our automation-first approach into hybrid environments.

A summary of your responsibilities:

• Implementing & testing platform features for all aspects of the automated infrastructure lifecycle.
• Performing operations tasks such as monitoring platform performance over time or troubleshooting issues with production services.
• Collaborating with other teams to discuss technical issues, propose solutions.

What you bring to the team

• Familiarity with private hosted enterprise infrastructure (we prefer VMware).
• Knowledge of public cloud providers services (we prefer Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and configuration (we prefer Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (we prefer Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining scripts (we prefer Python & PowerShell).

Nice to have:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or similar Azure certifications.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Exposure to container technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana & Prometheus.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing in the context of public & private cloud.

The salary for this position is €2000 to €3000 gross per month. We are open to discuss the salary depending on your knowledge and experience.
