Centric IT Solutions Lithuania opens up the first ever DevOps & Cloud Academy in Lithuania and invites IT professionals to deepen their knowledge for freeCentric IT Solutions Lithuania, a division of the Dutch IT giant Centric in Kaunas, has opened up first ever in Lithuania tuition fee-free DevOps & Cloud Academy, and selected fifteen motivated participants who will deepen their knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in the field of cloud computing and DevOps practices. The brightest graduates of the Academy will then have the opportunity to join the company and expand their knowledge further through practical work.

Expanded partnership with KTU: even more of Centric's contribution to the future of talents
2020/06/15This year we supplemented the agreement signed a year ago between Centric IT Solutions Lithuania and the most influential in the region - Kaunas University of Technology - with significantly expanded activities. In mid-June, we signed a cooperation agreement with the university's department of informatics in which we pledge to contribute to the preparation of study programs and study module tasks, to offer topics for bachelor's or master's theses, to contribute to the activities of the faculty committee, to provide internships for students, to contribute to ICIST conference and other events and projects initiated by KTU IF.

When the first days of work coincide with the start of quarantine: the experiences of Jurga and Julija
05/06/2020The national and global lockdown not only forced everyone to quickly learn how to work from home but also changed the work principles that were considered common or self-evident. Let's take recruitment and onboarding, for example. Job interviews conducted by companies remotely is not a new practice and is often applied in international companies with branches in various countries. But to get on board and start working in a company remotely is something new that employees needed to invent themselves and figure out how it will work. That was the challenge that two of our colleagues faced - Talent Attraction specialist Jurga Schulze and Personnel Coordinator Julija Stanaitytė who were employed at Centric before the quarantine and thus had to spend their first days and months at a new job not being physically in the office but meeting and communicating with colleagues online.

When I went to work at Centric, I knew that it was part of a large multinational corporation that had been operating for decades, with thousands of employees in the company's branches around the world. And I saw the opportunity of being the first employee and actively contributing to the creation of the Lithuanian branch as the biggest advantage and attraction."

Competences developed in Kaunas are spreading to Europe
2020/02/21When the Dutch IT company Centric came to Kaunas almost two years ago, one of its main strategic goals was to build a Lithuanian talent team that would become a significant center of excellence for this international giant in DevOps and Cloud Solutions. With nearly thirty professionals today, DevOps and Cloud Solutions department at Centric IT Solutions Lithuania is taking the lead in cultivating the maturity of DevOps culture across the organization by taking the first steps in an international conference organized in the Netherlands.

International company Centric presenter's lectures for KTU students
2019/09/11This September, Master students of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) who have chosen the MA + Information Service Management competency model will be able to draw professional knowledge and skills from a representative of the Dutch IT company Centric. KTU and Centric started their cooperation
On the first week of April, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) signed a cooperation agreement with the Dutch IT company Centric IT Solutions Lithuania. The start of official cooperation was marked by four scholarships established by the company for talented KTU informatics students.

Cyber Security Specialists: the weak link is people, not technology
10/01/2020If we had to pick out the most mythical IT specialty, security specialists would undoubtedly rise to the top of the list. Not only because cybersecurity theme is often used in popular culture - from films to novels - but also because when the virtual space is increasingly starting to permeate all parts of our lives, practically all of us start to face non-security. "No one is safe," Centric IT Solutions Lithuania Security team's Engineers Aurimas Černiakovas, Lukas Antanaitis and Aivaras Klišauskas smile in unison, right away adding that in most cases, it is the inadvertent and reckless people who become the security's weak link and not the crooked technology. "Our main goal is to minimize the risk as much as possible and, in the event of something, detect it and respond promptly," cyber security experts say.
